If you thought root canals are torturous, then you’re not alone. I am SO grateful I had a very, very positive first experience with my very first root canal.
Let’s rewind a few years - literally - about what led my root canal to begin with. I was chewing on a bone and chipped my right most molar. (It’s called tooth number 47! Ha who knew). This was the very first filling in my entire life, which I was very pleased with. (I would later pay for my hubris - literally and metaphorically). I went to my dentist at the time - Dr Y. She was kind with me, but snapped at her nurses, which made me very uncomfortable. She also didn’t apply numbing gel before inserting the gigantic local anaesthetic needle into my gum. I was always dysregulated after seeing her, which confused my husband. He’s had his share of dental procedures.
